Home sales activity and median prices rose across Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in December compared to the same period a year ago, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.
Home sales in December 2024 reached 1,288, a 16.7% increase from the 1,103 sales recorded during the month last year. The median sales price across the four-county area reached $295,000, a 10.9% increase from the $266,005 mark posted in December 2023.
“The Greater Cincinnati housing market continues to exhibit strength, with both sales activity and median prices posting gains in December, as well as throughout 2024,” said DaVan Gassett, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “The market ended the year on an uptick, as buyers took advantage of moderating interest rates and an uptick in the number of homes being marketed for sale.
“It’s evident that consumers appreciate that housing is a wise long-term investment,” Gassett added. “REALTORS® throughout Greater Cincinnati are experts at helping buyers and sellers successfully navigate today’s competitive marketplace.”
In 2024, home sales activity in the region increased by 3.7% compared to January-December 2023. Year-end sales in 2024 reached 17,268, up from the 16,653 sales recorded during the period a year ago. The median price during 2024 reached $295,000, a 5.5% increase from the $279,500 mark recorded during the period a year ago.
