Home sales activity and median prices rose across Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in October compared to the same period a year ago, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.
Home sales in October 2024 reached1,595, a 16.3% increase from the 1,311 sales recorded during the month last year. The median sales price across the four-county area reached $295,000, a 5.4% increase from the $279,900 mark posted in October 2023.
“The Greater Cincinnati housing market continues to exhibit strong resiliency, as the pace of sales and median prices remain on an uptick from levels recorded a year ago,” said Tracy Dunne, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “It’s evident that buyer demand remains strong, as consumers are not only eager to take advantage of moderating interest rates but, equally important, understand that housing is a wise long-term investment.

Throughout the first 10 months of the year, home sales activity in the region has increased by 1.7% compared to January-October 2023. Year-to-date sales in 2024 reached 14,590, up from the 14,353 sales recorded during the period a year ago. The median price during the first 10 months of 2024 reached $295,500, a 5.5% increase from the $280,000 mark recorded during the period a year ago.
