The housing marketplace in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties experienced stabilizing prices and a slight slowdown in sales activity in March compared to the same period a year ago, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.

Home sales in March 2025 reached 1,326, a 3.6% decrease from the 1,375 sales recorded during the month last year. The median sales price across the four-county area reached $290,000, a negligible 0.2% decrease from the $290,582 mark posted in March 2024.

“The Greater Cincinnati housing market is well positioned as we enter the start of the traditional home buying season, as sales prices and activity levels coming into balance,” said DaVan Gassett, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “Additionally, the number of homes being marketed for sale rose significantly in March, which will give buyers more options to make their housing dreams a reality.”

Through the first quarter of 2025, home sales activity in the region increased by 2.5% compared to the same period a year ago. Year-to-date home sales in 2025 reached 3,380, up from the 3,298 sales recorded during the period a year ago. The median price during the first three months of 2025 reached $287,200, a 4.1% increase from the $276,000 mark recorded during the period a year ago.
