Greater Cincinnati Housing Market Sees Growth in Sales and Prices in September 2024

October 14, 2024 — Cincinnati, OH — Home sales activity and median prices rose across Butler, Hamilton and Warren counties in September compared to the same period a year ago, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.

Home sales in September 2024 reached 1,492, a 3.1% increase from the 1,304 sales recorded a year ago. The median sales price across the tri-county area reached $302,000, an 8.2% increase from the $279,000 mark posted in September 2023.

“These latest figures underscore the strong opportunities for both buyers and sellers in our region,” said Tracy Dunne, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “The steady rise in home sales and median prices reflects consumers’ continued confidence in our local market. Through the first nine months of the year, home sales activity in the region has increased by 3.1% compared to January- September 2023. Year-to-date sales (January-September 2023) reached 13,464, up from the 13,059 homes sold a year ago. The median price during the period is $298,450, a 6.6% increase from the $280,000 mark set a year ago.

The data provided is compiled from activity reported in the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati, including residential closings from new and existing single-family homes and condominiums.
