The REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) Advocacy Committee recently welcomed City of Cincinnati Councilmember Mark Jeffreys for a dynamic Meet & Greet at Fueled Collective (thank you, Ailleen Combs ,for the venue connection). As Chair of the Equitable Growth & Housing Committee, Councilmember Jeffreys has emerged as a forward-thinking partner in advancing housing solutions—and his ongoing collaboration with REALTORS® made him a natural choice for this special event.
Councilmember Jeffreys has demonstrated a deep interest in engaging REALTORS® early and often on major housing initiatives. From seeking direct input on Cincinnati’s proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) policy to involving our Government Affairs volunteers in bold ideas like building 40,000 new housing units in the next decade, Jeffreys has made it clear: REALTORS® are essential to shaping the city’s housing future.
He also shared insights on a broader economic development strategy that includes housing and builds on regional infrastructure assets like the CROWN bike trail. Modeled in part after a successful project in Atlanta, the initiative envisions vibrant, connected neighborhoods with smart land use and inclusive growth.
RAGC Vice Chair Maura Black introduced Councilmember Jeffreys, who then engaged in a thoughtful Q&A session with the many REALTORS® in attendance—including Hyde Park members raising questions about a new development proposal in their community. The open dialogue reflected Jeffreys’ commitment to transparency and collaboration with those on the frontlines of Cincinnati’s housing market.
Councilmember Jeffreys has already been recognized by RAGC’s RPAC Committee with an early endorsement as a REALTOR® Champion—a reflection of his track record and shared vision for a stronger housing ecosystem. We thank him for taking the time to connect with our members and for continuing to prioritize REALTOR® voices in the policymaking process.
