The Greater Cincinnati housing market in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties continued to show resilience in August, with gains in home prices, total sold volume, and inventory, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.

Home sales in August 2025 totaled 1,651, representing a 1.2% increase compared to August 2024. The median sold price rose to $315,000, up 5.0% from the previous year—highlighting steady value growth for homeowners.

“Prices continue to appreciate while inventory growth is giving buyers more opportunities in the marketplace,” said DaVan Gassett, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “Even with modest changes in unit sales, overall market strength remains clear in both dollar volume and year-to-date trends.”

Year-to-date sales reached 11,951, a 3.2% increase from 11,582 at this time last year. The year-to-date median price climbed to $310,000, up 5.1% from $295,000 in 2024.

Total sold volume in August exceeded $628.9 million, a 7.7% year-over-year increase. Cumulative 2025 sales volume now stands at over $4.5 billion, reflecting a 9.5% rise from the prior year.

Inventory also showed strong gains, with 2,967 active listings in August—up 24.7% from last year. New listings increased 1.5% to 2,162, providing buyers with more options. Homes spent a median of 8 days on the market, a 33.3% increase from the same time last year—indicating that while homes continue to sell quickly, buyers may be taking slightly more time amid higher inventory.
