CE Information & Required Technology: This livestream webinar is certified for 3 hours of civil rights credit, satisfies the new NAR Fair Housing requirement. Attendees will need to access the program with a device (phone, laptop, PC) that has a camera, speaker, microphone, and reliable, high-speed internet access. Video, audio, and internet access are all necessary to successfully attend class. Please make sure to test everything ahead of time at https://zoom.us/test Attendees must turn on their video camera and stay within view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored. Per ODRE requirements, you must be present for at least 90% of the program to receive credit.

This course will include civil right laws as applied to commercial real estate, including history and foundation, ADA, FHA, and similar laws in Ohio and its political subdivision. Practical challenges in identifying potential violations of ADA, FHA, and similar laws will be discussed as well as best practices for risk management and liability control. Recent trends in application and enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act and similar laws throughout the country will be covered including real-life case examples. This class is designed to satisfy the State of Ohio’s Fair Housing & Civil Rights requirement and the new NAR Fair Housing requirement.
