This program is being certified for 3 hours of Civil Rights credit. Per ODRE requirements, you must be present 90% of the program to receive credit. Attendees must join the program with video and stay within view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored. Your confirmation will contain instructions on joining the Zoom webinar.
This course will include civil right laws as applied to commercial real estate, including history and foundation, ADA, FHA, and similar laws in Ohio and its political subdivision. Practical challenges in identifying potential violations of ADA, FHA, and similar laws will be discussed as well as best practices for risk management and liability control. Recent trends in application and enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act and similar laws throughout the country will be covered including real-life case examples. This class is designed to satisfy the State of Ohio’s Fair Housing & Civil Rights requirement.
