In recognition of Black History Month, the Hamilton County Commissioners have highlighted the invaluable contributions of African Americans to our nation’s fabric. Sheila, a pillar of our community, embodies this spirit through her unwavering dedication and impactful work.
Married to Greg Howard for 25 years, Sheila’s journey of community involvement began right in her Avondale neighborhood—a place she’s called home for over two decades. Her passion for making a difference has led her to participate, contribute, and provide her services in various capacities, leaving an indelible mark on those around her.
For 18 years, Sheila served as a board trustee, board secretary, and vice president of the Avondale Community Council, demonstrating her dedication to grassroots initiatives and local governance. She’s been instrumental in hosting Avondale’s Avenue District Block Club’s annual Thanksgiving food drive, serving a remarkable 1,050 families, and organizing the Christmas toy giveaway for 12 consecutive years—a testament to her unwavering commitment to spreading joy and goodwill.
Her civic engagement extends beyond the neighborhood, as she spent a decade working for the Board of Elections as a poll worker and voting location manager, ensuring fair and accessible elections. Additionally, Sheila contributed her talents to the 2010 U.S. Census as a partnership assistant and crew leader supervisor, further solidifying her role as a community leader.
With a remarkable 37-year career as a REALTOR, Sheila has left an indelible mark on the real estate landscape, assisting buyers, sellers, and investors across various sectors. As the founder of SHH Realty Group, LLC, she upholds the highest standards of professionalism and service, earning her business a coveted BBB A+ rating.
Throughout her illustrious career, Sheila has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Nefertiti Award, Dada Rafiki Award, Avondale Resident of the Year, and the prestigious Avondale Community Champion Award in 2022. Her commitment to excellence was further recognized with the Top Business Award from the Collective Empowerment Group of Metro Cincinnati in 2023, along with the Spirit of Deborah Award and consistent recognition as a top producer in the OwnerLand Realty Million Dollar Club since 2015.
