• Studies issues, legislation, and more at the local, state and federal levels that affect property owners and/or RAGC members.
• Advocates for local, state and federal policy initiatives that strengthen the ability of Americans to own, buy and sell real property.
• Conducts functions to foster a good, working relationship with our elected officials.
• Makes recommendations to Board of Directors for RAGC support, opposition or neutrality to issues.
• Members are highly encouraged to attend all events and functions hosted by the Committee.

Encourages industry professionals related to real estate transactions to come together, discuss challenging industry issues, and provide solutions to those issues. The committee creates programs and activities to strengthen our REALTOR® and Affiliate member relationships.

Review RAGC contracts, forms, and clauses to determine whether revisions, additions, or discontinuations should be made.  Works with RAGC legal counsel to finalize recommendations. *By appointment only.

Coordinates and promotes the association’s activities to increase diversity within the real estate profession. Identifies diversity and fair housing educational needs and goals and addresses changes in real estate business practice to reflect growing cultural diversity. The Committee should partner with Community Outreach and/or YPN for one event.

The Honors and Awards Committee manages the Circle of Excellence Awards, setting award levels, enforcing rules, soliciting sponsorships, and selecting recipients. The Association staff executes the Circle of Excellence event, with two appointed committee members coordinating key aspects, including the overall budget, the ticket price, venue, and application fee, to ensure the overall financial success of the event. The committee also establishes awards criteria, reviews applications, and selects winners for the Association’s special awards based on said criteria.

Gather and disseminate information on current relevant legal issues impacting members and the real estate industry.

Reviews, modifies, and enforces procedures and governing MLS rules to maintain the MLS’s purpose and objectives professionally and efficiently. NAR requires the inclusion of the majority of the Rules and Regulations. However, local MLSes may incorporate their own, provided they do not conflict with NAR. MLS Operations reviews recommendations from the MLS Users Committee before sending them to the MLS Directors for final approval. Serving on the MLS Users Committee for two years is a pre-requisite.

Evaluate MLS systems and services and recommend enhancements or modifications to improve the functionality and efficiencies in said systems and services. All considerations need to be fully vetted before recommendations are made. Two years of MLS membership or 25+ transactions is a pre-requisite.

Educates REALTORS® about the importance of CPR and AED training offers classes on CPR and AED machines, promotes the installation of AED machines in all REALTOR® offices, and works to raise the funds for the purchase of AED machines in public locations.

This will be an appointed Committee OR Party Committee, three at-large appointments, and three representatives from the RAGC Local Political Coordinator program.
