The housing marketplace in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties experienced growth in sales activity and pricing in August, compared to the same period a year ago, according to the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati.

Home sales in August 2026 reached 1,741, a 1.9% increase from the 1,709 sales recorded during August 2025. The median sale price across the five-county area reached $329,000, a 4.5% increase from the $314,832 mark posted in August 2025.

The Greater Cincinnati housing market continues to exhibit strong, stable growth, as the uptick in sales activity and pricing in August reflect the region’s continued vibrancy,” said Rob Streicher, President of the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati. “Equally important, we’re seeing increases in the number of homes listed for sale which provides buyers with more options to make their housing dreams a reality.”

The inventory of homes for sale in August 2026 reached 3,309, a 6.8% increase from the 3,098 homes listed for sale during August 2025. The number of new listings during the month reached 2,278, a 2.6% increase from August 2025.

Through the first eight months of 2026, home sales activity in the region increased by 3% compared to the same period a year ago. Year-to-date home sales in 2026 reached 12,601, up from the 12,229 sales recorded during the same period a year ago. The median price through August 2026 reached $322,161, a 4.9% increase from the $307,000 mark posted during the eight-month period a year ago.

Total dollar volume (January through August) topped $4.9 billion this year, a 7.1% increase from the $4.6 billion level reached in 2025.
